Who is this course designed for?

What will I learn?
You'll learn how to prepare your service for a crisis, confidently lead your team through the first critical moments, understand your legal and regulatory responsibilities, communicate effectively with families and stakeholders, and support recovery after the incident.
Do I need previous crisis management experience?
No. The course has been designed for leaders at all stages of their careers. Whether you're new to leadership or have years of experience, you'll gain practical tools, frameworks and strategies you can immediately implement within your service.
Is this course based on Australian legislation?
Yes. The course has been developed specifically for the Australian early childhood education and care sector and aligns with the National Quality Framework, Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, and current regulatory expectations.
Is the course theoretical or practical?
Very practical. Throughout the course you'll work through real-life scenarios, reflection activities and practical strategies that you can immediately apply within your own service.
How long will the course take to complete?
Most learners complete the course in approximately 1 hour. However, you can work through the content at your own pace and revisit lessons throughout your access period.
Will I receive a certificate?
Yes. Once you've successfully completed all lessons and the final assessment, you'll receive a Certificate of Completion.
How long will I have access to the course?
You'll receive three months' access to the course, giving you plenty of time to complete the learning at your own pace, revisit key content and apply what you've learned within your service.

Will this course help us prepare for Assessment and Rating?
Yes. While this is not an Assessment and Rating preparation course, strong crisis governance, leadership and compliance practices contribute to meeting several elements of the National Quality Standard and demonstrate effective governance, risk management and continuous improvement.
